-: ChikMagalur Trekking and Bellur Temple Photos:-

23 rd dec 2005 night we started for the one more trip to CHIKMANGLUR ( kashmir of Karnataka) and World famous Bellur Temple ( Wolrd heritage from india ASI Certified)... first day 24th we went to trekking of MULANGIRI HILL ( 6000 ft above sea level ).. 4 km straight trekking at the slope of 60 -70 degree... it was very nice trekking experience, best among my five trekking i have done.. we were total 12 members and in three equally divided groups, We started our trekking with a lot of encouragement but soon after half an hour we were looking toward the top that how much more we have to trek... we all got tired in just 10% of the total trekking. now all were thinking to go back .... but how it is possible on the slope of 70 degree to get down .. just one slip of feet and u will be at the ground by rolling down through the stones.. so we were crawling on the stones and grass by not looking down.. after every five min we use to sit and see the beautiful scenery of the coffee plantation around the beautiful city chikmagalur, that scenery was the only motivation to ride on the narrow sloppy way toward the sky. i was thinking if i will crawl in the same way i will reach near the clouds after some 2 hours... and yes it happened and we were above the clouds and near the destination after 3 hour of trekking. i thought that we will be at the top by next 5 min. but my friend who visited there earliear told that still 1 hour trekking is remaining that to very dangerous so be carefull, i told to him "is't it dangerous till now" ... we started again and oh god now it is full of rocks and slope is around 75 degree and other side only valley of greenry, what to do we thougth .... but we don't have option we can't go back and that is the only way... then we thought we are not the first to go by this way so if others can do we can also do.. Anyhow we have already done five trekking (not like this but we can say we r professional trekkers). so we started and slowlly slowlly by crawling like snake we reached the top after 1 hour. It was unbelievable that we r at top of the hill .. i turned and looked back "WOW what a place" above the clouds , But because of hazel we can't see too far but it was like haven... i was still in scary mood So i stepped toward the corner to see from where we came above... but what is this i can't locate how i reached there because the way was nearly vertical an from above it is looking like a deep valley full of greenry. at top there was a beautifull teple .. we prayed there had our lunch which we took in our bags and lay down for 15 minutes... it was amazing cool air was blowing a lit bit sunny.. i can't describe it. there was an another way to go down that was around 8 km on foot.. we came back through that trekking by talking about their experience and feeling at the time of trekking in between the group..
Next plan was to go to Bellur temple World famous temple. I think it is the best temple ever i have seen for architecture. check out in photos.
Next day we went to Kemmangundi HILL station enjoyed a lot there at Z point ( again after trekking of 2 km but this was nothing in front of Mulangiri so we were trekking like professionals...we visited one temple, a water fall and came back to hotel. because we have to move for college which was again 6 hour journey.
Unforgettable 2 days of My Life
